Pet Gate Troubleshooting Guide

If you experience installation or locking issues with your pet gate, please check the following common problems and solutions before requesting a return.

If You Encounter Any Issues...

1. The bolts are tightened, but the latch still cannot lock properly

Cause: The bolts are not tightened enough.

Solution: Please tighten the bolts more firmly.

Using a wrench, turn the ring on the bolts until the latch parts are apart by only about 0.08"–0.12".

2. The bolt keeps spinning and cannot be tightened

Cause: Incorrect bolt tightening method.

Solution: Instead of turning the entire bolt, please turn only the ring attached to the bolt.

3. The door is stuck and cannot be opened or closed

Cause: Over-tightening of the bolt caused the lock to become stuck.

Solution: Please loosen the ring part slightly.

Adjust until the locking parts of the door are about 0.08"–0.12" apart.

4. The two sides of the latch are not aligned evenly

Cause: The bolts on both sides were not tightened evenly.

Solution: Loosen one side slightly and tighten the opposite side until both sides are evenly aligned.

If the Zip Tie Was Removed Before Installation

If the zip ties were cut before installation, the gate frame may become loose and appear bent.

This is not a product defect.

How to Fix It

Method 1: Secure the frame again using strong zip ties.
Method 2: Wrap the frame tightly with strong tape or durable string.

Please wrap multiple times to ensure the tape or string does not loosen or break.
