Lumizone Dual-Lock Pet Gate Hinge

The part is correct and works okay, but the fit is off. Using the original set screw hole in the gate, did not allow anything to align, so I removed the screw, drove the new hinge as far down as it would sit on the gate, and drilled a new, lower hole for the set screw. The gate functions, but the hinge allows the gate door to lift high enough for the lower pin to pull out of the hole in the lower horizontal crossmember so there is effectively no lower hinge. This happens fairly often given the gate has to be lifted some to unlatch. I will likely have to try and tack weld a small hex nut or sleeve to the lower crossbar to give the lower pin more constraint.

Overall glad that Lumizone even has replacement parts unlike many other companies, but I believe manufacturing controls and small design changes over time do not ensure a solid fit even on a $20 part.

Fire perfectly and works great! I don't remember a time that my gate could stay open on its own in either direction before, but now it does. Easy to install. Very great customer service!
